affordable - Diabetes Testing - A Daily Task

affordable -

For those that have recently been diagnosed with either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, one of the most unfamiliar parts of treatment is undoubtedly the requirement of daily diabetes testing. Any doctor will tell you that it is essential for all patients living with diabetes to engage in daily testing of their blood sugar levels.

This is the only way to know when it is necessary to alter your dietary plans for the day so that your blood sugar levels can stay the most consistent. To regularly engage in diabetes testing is also one of the best ways to prevent the development of any of the additional complications that can arise from having diabetes, like heart disease or neuropathy.

There are several different aspects of diabetes testing that you should keep in mind when developing a schedule for how you will test and looking for the testing supplies that will best suit your needs as a diabetic. Traditionally, blood sugar testing takes place at home, where you are comfortable and have all of the supplies nearby that you will need. Usually, the diabetic will obtain a very small sample of blood from their finger by pricking it with a very small needle that is known as a lancet. Once the blood sample has been obtained, the patient will place the sample on a test strip that will then be fed into a blood glucose monitoring device that will then give them a reading of the level of their blood sugar levels.

Because this traditional type of diabetes testing can be very painful when fingers are pricked in the same places every day, there have been recent developments in blood testing technologies that allow you to obtain samples from other areas of your body, like the arm or thigh. Although these areas can be much more comfortable for the patient, blood take from these areas does not always provide the most accurate information, as the blood in the finger tips will exhibit changes in the sugar levels of the blood earlier than other areas.

Because blood sugar levels tend to fluctuate the most immediately after eating be sure to bring along diabetes testing supplies whenever you are dining out with friends. Keep in mind that you should test and administer insulin if needed, within 15 to 30 minutes after consuming food. If you are pretty good about consuming the right types of food at regular times throughout the day, this should be no problem.

Diabetes Testing - A Daily Task

affordable - Rhesus-conflict

affordable -

People differ from each other not only with eye and skin color, or height, but also with a blood group, and also with its Rhesus factor. For the time being, it does not matter which blood runs in our veins.

“At school I tried to avoid medical examinations, hiding in toilets and checkrooms. At home, resisting a doctor’s visit, I resorted to various tricks: pressed my forehead to a frozen window to cool it and hide high temperature, coughed under the blanket, shook off the thermometer. And when I grew up, I could not find time for sicknesses or preventive medical examinations, as I always had more important and absolutely urgent matters. As a result, I knew about Rhesus factor existence and that I have got Rhesus-negative only when I was 27 y.o., i.e. when I decided to become a mother”.

Such different blood

Rhesus factor is an antigen (or albumen), which is situated on erythrocytes’ surface (red corpuscles). It was discovered just 35 years ago. And at the same time it was discovered that 85% of men and women have this Rhesus factor, and, hence, are Rhesus-positive. And the rest 15%, accordingly, have no Rhesus factor, and are called Rhesus-negative.

In everyday life, neither presence, nor lack of Rhesus factor plays any special role. It becomes important only under such extreme conditions, like, for example, blood transfusion. Or pregnancy. Why pregnancy? Because if a future mother has Rhesus-negative, and father has Rhesus-positive, a child can inherit both mother’s and father’s ones, it’s 50×50. If he inherits a mother’s Rhesus-negative, then everything is ok, no danger. And if he inherits a father’s Rhesus-positive? Then a threat of Rhesus-conflict appears. What’s this? This is an incompatibility of blood between mother and her fetus. Rhesus factor of fetus overcomes a placenta barrier and comes to a mother’s blood. And her organism, “not recognizing” fetus and accepting it as something alien, begins producing protective antibodies.

These antibodies come through placenta and begin “battling” with a future baby’s erythrocytes, annihilating them. What this may lead to? To a miscarriage, if a mother’s organism tears away fetus. To production of more bilirubin, a substance that colors skin in yellow and leads to new-born babies’ jaundice. Bilirubin can also damage a future baby’s brain, cause hearing-aid and speech defects of development. Moreover, as erythrocytes in fetus blood will be constantly annihilated, his liver and spleen will quicken red corpuscles production, increasing in sizes sharply. However, they will definitely lose this race, and as a result, a future baby can have anemia, caused by threateningly low content of erythrocytes and haemoglobin. In addition, Rhesus-conflict can cause in-born dropsy (edema) of fetus and even lead to his death.

How to struggle?

There’re preventive measures and methods of treatment of Rhesus-conflict. The first of them is to learn your blood group and Rhesus factor as much earlier, and also a future father’s blood group and Rhesus factor. Sometimes, Rhesus-conflict starts because of an incompatibility between mother’s and baby’s blood groups, for example, if a mother has 0 blood group, and a future baby has A or B blood group. Fortunately, such incompatibility is less dangerous and does not betoken serious complications. If both parents have the same Rhesus, there’re no reasons for anxiety. If a mother has Rhesus-negative, and a father has Rhesus-positive, a mother will have to pass such a procedure, as vein blood test regularly. This way doctors will be able to control the quantity of antibodies in your blood constantly and notice a beginning of Rhesus-conflict. Till 32 week of pregnancy, you need to pass vein blood test once a month, since 32 till 35 – twice a month, and then every week till the day of childbirth.

If Rhesus-conflict still begins, specialists will be able to resort to different measures to save a baby. In some cases, they stimulate premature birth and execute exchange blood transfusion to a baby – doctors inject a blood of the same group, but with Rhesus-negative in him. This operations is held during 36 hours after childbirth.

There’s also a possibility to reduce a risk of Rhesus-conflict development during next childbirth. For example, with the help of administration of a special vaccine – anti-Rhesus immunoglobulin at once (during 72 hours) after first childbirth or abortive pregnancy. The principle of action of this medicine is based on the fact that it “connects” aggressive bodies in mother’s blood and brings them out of her organism. After this, they cannot threaten a future baby’s health and life anymore. If Rhesus-antibodies were not injected as preventive measures for some reason, such “vaccination” can be done during pregnancy. Administration of anti-Rhesus immunoglobulin can be done also after fetus bladder puncture, amniocentesis and surgical operation during abdominal pregnancy.

Happy-end

“And in general, – a doctor finished his story, now you should know only one thing: a prognosis is good. So, pass vein blood tests regularly and don’t think of anything else”. And I went to pass a vein blood test. Once, again, and again… And soon I discovered that this is not so disgusting. When the procedure became ordinary, it stopped seeming to be some terrible trial. Easy and quickly. There’s one bad aspect – you need to pass the test in the morning and surely on an empty stomach. But the main thing was that every following test showed the same result – there was no any threatening quantity of antibodies in my blood, and, hence, no any Rhesus-conflict.

With such results, I came to a long-awaited day of childbirth. And gave birth to an absolutely healthy daughter. Her birth, naturally, displaced all other thoughts from my head. And, unfortunately, I completely forgot to ask doctors to inject anti-Rhesus immunoglobulin in me during 72 hours after childbirth. Well, nobody offered me this too. But then, frankly speaking, I did not think about any other pregnancies. And now? You know, I have not told anybody about it yet… But, to my opinion, two children in a family are much better, than an only child. And, perhaps, I’m ready to repeat everything. We will pass all tests, consult doctors, administrate this Anti-Rhesus. Of course, I’m afraid a little. But, as a doctor said, the prognosis is good!

Queen Anna

People differ from each other not only with eye and skin color, or height, but also with a blood group, and also with its Rhesus factor. For the time being, it does not matter which blood runs in our veins, as it “works” only on our organism and suits it completely. However, sometimes such situation may happen, when one person’s blood contacts with other one’s blood – this happens while blood transfusion or pregnancy. And then problems begin…

There’re 4 main blood groups: the first, it’s also called zero (0); second (A); third (B) and fourth (AB). If one gives somebody a transfusion of blood of some other group, serious complications may occur, right up to conditions, threatening to one’s life.

Besides, blood is divided into 2 types, according to Rhesus factor – albumen, situated in erythrocytes (red corpuscles). Rhesus factor can be positive or negative. If a woman with Rhesus-negative blood is bearing a child, who inherited his father’s Rhesus-positive, then during a contact of mother’s and fetus’s blood, a pregnant woman’s organism treats fetus as some alien thing and produces antibodies that contribute to its seizure. This can make difficulties for normal height and development of a future baby, influence bad his health. In cases of serious complications, a prenatal death of fetus takes place, miscarriages on different periods of pregnancy.

During the first pregnancy, a conflict, caused by an incompatibility between mother’s and fetus’s blood according to a blood group and Rhesus factor, seldom develops, as women’s antibodies are being produced in not enough quantity. With every following pregnancy, a chance of complications increases in several times.

Often, antibodies are produced in organism of women who haven’t given birth yet, as a result of previous blood transfusions, without taking into account Rhesus-compatibility, miscarriages or abortions, abdominal pregnancy. Various complications during pregnancy (toxicosis, high blood pressure, infectious and other diseases) increase weight of condition and a chance of conflict development.

A conflict, caused by incompatibility according to a blood group, is met more often, but under AB0 conflict, serious problems appear less often, than under incompatibility according to Rhesus factor. One can predict a probability of a pathologic process, knowing Rhesus factor and blood groups of both parents.

Women, who have a risk of a conflict development, should be under careful obstetrician-gynecologist’s observation during pregnancy. It’s necessary to determine a level of Rhesus-antibodies in blood during the whole period (once a month till 32 weeks of pregnancy, twice a month since 32 to 35 weeks, and then every week). Height of antibodies’ titre helps to determine a fetus state, forecast a weight of a new-born baby’s condition, and prevent the development of complications when it’s necessary.

Women with Rhesus-negative can avoid the conflict during the second pregnancy with the help of administration of anti-Rhesus immunoglobulin right after the first childbirth, abortion, transfusion of an incompatible blood. As a rule, this is a routine practice of maternity hospitals, but it’s better to ask such question before you choose a hospital to give birth in.

My Story:

At the time my journey into fertility began, I was 39 years old. I had realized that if I wanted to have a child, it was going to have to be “now or never”. I was busy relocating to the Netherlands from South Africa and my husband and I had decided that we would start trying for a baby as soon as possible after moving.

Unlike most couples with fertility issues, we hadn’t yet even tried to fall pregnant. Because of my age, I went to a renowned fertility clinic, just to check what was actually going on with my body. I had always had the regular gynecological check-ups, but I wanted to check that everything was in order.

I never expected the bad news – the worst possible news, delivered early in the morning on Christmas Eve: “I’m sorry, but your test results confirm that you have NO eggs left, you are in premature menopause and your only options of having a baby are either a donor egg or adoption… “

I fainted from the shock and when I came round, I found a nurse standing there, stroking my cheek with a cup of tea in the other hand. She said: “… you will go through a mourning period and when you are ready, you can chat to the doctor about our donor egg program… ” I said; “I’m sorry, I refuse to believe it, that’s ridiculous – and I have to get out of here right now!” I drove to my parent’s home in tears. (My husband was in the Netherlands at the time and that made it even worse.)

The first thing my mother said to me was: “Don’t buy the bad news!” “Don’t believe it.” And we started doing research and taking action. Taking action makes you feel much better. It immediately takes you out of the victim role and puts you into survival mode!

After doing loads of research, I discovered a lot of the information as well as coming to the realization that the medical profession was offering no solutions. They gave me NO hope of having a baby with my own egg, so I decided to try some the holistic treatments, as I had to do something…

The things I tried that worked for me were: acupuncture, Chinese herbs, reflexology and DHEA, amongst other things. Please consult a medical professional, Chinese medical practitioner or homeopath first and DO NOT SELF-MEDICATE.

My story continued:

After doing an extensive amount of research and putting everything I discovered into immediate action, I decided to see if my fertility situation had changed, so I made an appointment with another fertility specialist, this time in the Netherlands…

He seemed a lot more positive initially, especially after seeing that my FSH levels had gone down substantially. I then proceeded to go through a whole new batch of fertility tests, a repeat of what I had already gone through in South Africa, as well as a number of new tests. Now feeling a lot more positive, I was not expecting the news that I received next!

“I’m very sorry, but your test results indicate that you are not a candidate for IVF, as we are not sure how many eggs you have and we don’t think that you will respond to hormone treatment. There is, however a very slim chance that you could fall pregnant naturally, as your FSH levels have dropped, but we won’t take you on as a patient as we feel it will be a waste of time and money”. I was of course again devastated. I really thought that after everything I had been doing, that I would at least now have a chance of starting an IVF program, so I started looking at other fertility clinics as options. I was more determined than ever and followed my holistic regime religiously as it was the only thing that was giving me hope.

Not long after this, I started to feel different. My instinct told me I was pregnant. I did two pregnancy tests, which were both negative. Very disappointing, but as I was still feeling a bit strange and had noticed some changes in my body, I decided to do one last test, on the morning of my 40th birthday… POSITIVE! I was pregnant! What an incredible birthday gift from God!

I still sometimes can’t believe the journey I went on, in order to be where I am right now. I am so happy being a mother to our beautiful, healthy baby boy – what an incredible blessing!

The human body has an incredible ability to heal itself, along with the grace of God and natural medicine, a positive attitude and the incredible love and support of family and friends.

affordable - Is Dong Quai Safe To Take During Pregnancy?

affordable -

Dong Quai has been popularly used within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for thousands of years and the West is now catching up to the safety and health benefits of this plant during pregnancy. It is a favorite in Chinese formulas for womens’ health and is highly regarded as the “supreme woman’s root”. It has also earned the reputation as the “supreme female tonic” and the “ultimate herb for women”. With such powerful and compelling titles as these, the question arises “Is Dong Quai Safe To Take During Pregnancy?”

First things first…

What is Dong Quai?

Dong Quai literally means “ought to return”. In Chinese Herbology, this is so named because it is believed that by taking this herb, one’s energy and blood will return and restore without disorder.

It comes from the apiaceae family, or more commonly known as the celery, carrot or parsley family. The plant is native to China, Japan and Korea and grows on the high mountains in the cold, moist regions of these countries. It is distinguished by its small umbrella-like white flowers which bloom from May to August and produces its fruits between July and August.

Other common names and spellings include – angelica sinensis (Latin and botanical name); Chinese angelica; dang gui; tang kuei and tan kue bai zhi.

What Are The Medicinal Uses?

The whole root is considered beneficial and in TCM, it is believed that the different sections of the root provide different “actions”. The top part of the root has anti-coagulant (blood thinning) properties, the middle part of the root is used as a tonic and the bottom part is used to dispel patterns of blood stagnation.

Dong Quai has been widely used in restoring health and balancing the body in most cycles and rhythms of a women’s life, yet it is equally beneficial to men as well. It is essentially used before and after menstruation due to its anti-spasmodic properties to ease those uncomfortable “time-of-the-month” cramps and helps replenish blood levels after your period has ended.

Dong Quai can also be used to treat ailments such as: -

  • balancing hormones and encouraging a regular menstrual cycle in women who have stopped using birth control methods.

  • absence of periods (amenorrhea).

  • vaginal dryness.

  • weakness after child birth as can help strengthen the reproductive organs, ovaries and womb.

  • eliminating blood stagnation and dissolving blood clots. This is due to its high levels of vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin B12, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, iron, folic acid, calcium and zinc to name a few.

  • regulating blood sugars.

  • increasing blood circulation and production of red blood cells.

  • enhancing fertility in both men and women.

  • arthritis due to its anti-rheumatic properties. A topical press can be made to penetrate deep in reducing inflammation, easing aches and pains by removing toxins and stimulating circulation to alleviate pressure on the area.

  • fighting and resisting disease due to its anti-fungal actions.

Is It Safe To Take During Pregnancy?

In TCM, although Dong Quai is highly recommended for all aspects of a woman’s body cycle, it is not recommended during pregnancy. My mother, who is a strong advocate of this herb from a young age, refused to take this herb while she was pregnant! WHY?

She was taught that in the past, midwives that practiced TCM, would use the herb to induce labor in women who were “overdue” in their pregnancy term. Thus, the same principle was applied to those in the early stages of pregnancy and was considered unsafe to use. In modern day research, some evidence has shown that Dong Quai can stimulate the uterus and cause contractions, leading to an increased risk of miscarriage or pre-term labor.

Due to its anti-coagulant (blood thinning) properties, it can increase the risk of bleeding. During pregnancy, this risk can be higher. It should not be taken with blood thinning drugs such as aspirin, heparin and warfarin as this could also increase the chances of bleeding.

According to the National Institutes of Health, one case study of a pregnant woman who took a combination of medicinal herbs (Dong Quai being one of them), later gave birth to a baby that was born with some serious birth defects. Medical professionals believed the herbs were to blame. However, this is not evident enough to suggest that Dong Quai alone could have this effect.

Pregnant women should take precautions when high doses of Dong Quai are taken as this can cause photo-sensitivity (sensitivity to sunlight) and lead to greater risk for skin cancer, especially to those who are fair-skinned. Extra care should be taken when combined with St. John’s Wort as it is also a herb known to increase photo-sensitivity.

Dong Quai may interfere with other herbs, such as ginger, which some women take to help alleviate morning sickness during their pregnancy. Supervision is advisable when other herbs are combined with Dong Quai. These include:-

  • Chinese skullcap (scutellaria baicalensis)

  • Feverfew (chrysanthemum parthenium/tanacetum parthenium)

  • Garlic (allium sativum)

  • Ginkgo (ginkgo biloba)

  • Ginseng (panax ginseng)

  • Liquorice (glycyrrhiza glabra)

  • Turmeric (curcuma longa)

Worth Considering

Although herbs are the most natural alternative to chemically-charged pharmaceutical drugs, care should still be taken if you choose to implement them in your lifestyle. In all cultures, herbs have been used for medicinal purposes for many centuries but there is still more to be discovered and learnt. Some herbs may be more beneficial or harmful from one person to another, and if you have an under-lying medical condition, extra care should be undertaken. If you have any serious health concerns, you should always check with your health care practitioner or medical herbalist expert before self-administering herbs.

Getting pregnant healthily requires couples themselves to be healthy. Eating incorrectly, not doing exercise and drinking too much alcohol or caffeine can affect the quality of the sperm and egg and therefore could lead to unhealthy children being born. This is some thing that is easily avoided.

It may also be worth considering taking some natural herbal medication to help regulate the hormones in your body, reduce inflammation and reduce stress. These have been highly effective for many women when taken correctly. I have found an appropriate guide teaching exactly how to take such medication and why and will discuss this later.

Getting Pregnant Tip 1

Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables! I do not want to sound too much like your mother, but there have been significant results suggesting that certain vitamins and minerals are directly linked to the quality of sperm and eggs released. Therefore getting sufficient amounts of each are essential to improving your fertility.

Getting Pregnant Tip 2

Exercise is key to shedding off the extra fat and reducing stress levels. Excess fat leads to extra estrogen being released by females. This is what disrupts the regularity of egg release in the body. So start going for a jog twice or even three times a week. You will notice improvements not only in your physique, but in your liveliness and happiness as well.

Getting Pregnant Tip 3

Other ways to reduce stress include starting yoga classes, cutting down your working hours if possible or starting a new hobby. Again, you will notice the improvements in your work and ability to concentrate, in your home lifestyle and your ability to sleep better too.

Getting Pregnant Tip 4

I highly recommend using herbal medication to those who are finding it difficult to conceive naturally. Many women have inflamed tissue in the uterus which is usually not a problem, but can be a barrier to sperm on there way to the egg. This will also help regulate the ovulation cycle and hence it will be easier to monitor when exactly each month your egg is being released.

Check out this renowned guide on the subject which will teach you how to use such medication and where to get it.

Depression is a very vague term, that confuses a lot of people. It’s hard to tell whether you suffer from depression or not. However, there are certain depression tests are out there to help diagnose someone suffering from depression, and what kind of treatment is required, based on the type of depression they may suffer from. If you want to learn about the different depression tests potential depression patients undergo, then you should read this article.

The fact is, the quicker you can identify the depression, the quicker you can expect to recover from it. It is important to recognize early warning signs of depression, before it has a chance to fully set in. One of the best ways to determine if you have depression is to undergo different depression tests with the help of a professional.

Typically, when any relationship is created between a patient suffering from depression and a professional therapist, the first part of the relationship is spent on diagnosing the patient. Depression is a generic term that is used to cover a variety of different disorders which cause unhappiness in an individual. This means the doctor needs assessment time for figuring out exactly what the type of depression is, in order to know what to do to effectively treated.

Unless a proper diagnosis is made, relief from depression can be troublesome.

Some of the ways the doctor uses depression tests to make a diagnosis is to first consider the patient’s background as well as their symptoms which seem to trigger the depressive episodes. This means the more truthful you are to the professional’s questions, the more accurate the results of your depression tests will be.

They also observe the different types of emotional and physical suffering processes of the patient. For example if a symptom of withdrawal occurs in the patient, the doctor looks at this as a signal that the person may be in a state of depression, because of this emotional suffering. Other indicators that doctors use are extended fatigue, low motivation and energy, chronic frustration, disruption of eating habits, and irregular patterns asleep, just to name a few.

Also, there are certain tests used to determine the mental state of the patient. These tests may cover a patient’s reaction time, certain word association exercises, as well as examining whether the patient’s core beliefs are healthy or not.

In conclusion, these are some of the depression tests that are administered for feedback, to get information on what type of depression, if any, the patient suffers from, as well as what type of treatment is required.

affordable - What Are The Causes Of Infertility In Both Men And Women

affordable -

When you’re hoping for a positive result on a home pregnancy test, it can be a difficult moment to receive a negative result. With television shows that highlight the lives of teens who became pregnant so easily without even trying and magazine covers highlighting the newest pregnancy for a mother who already has a dozen or more children, you might think getting pregnant is much easier than it actually is. While your negative pregnancy test might be nothing more than a sign you didn’t plan your intercourse accordingly this month, it may be an indication that either you or your partner may be suffering from different causes of infertility.

Here are some causes of infertility in both men and women:

Male Infertility

Many people assume that infertility is a female problem. They might immediately wonder if the woman in the one to blame with a couple is not having any luck becoming pregnant. Traditionally, doctors believe that younger couples who have been trying for a year or more to get pregnant without any luck are infertile. For couples older than 35, doctors begin to strongly consider infertility after six months of trying to conceive with no luck. Still, most people believe that it’s the woman’s health problems causing infertility.

This is simply not true. In fact, approximately half of infertility problems in the U.S. are caused by the male partner in the relationship. Male infertility is caused by a number of factors. Essentially, men must be able to produce healthy sperm, enough sperm, and correctly shaped sperm to impregnate a woman. If he cannot do one or more of those things, he likely suffers from infertility. Health issues are the leading causes of infertility in men. Men who suffer from infection, varicocele, take certain medications, or have a hormone imbalance may suffer from infertility as these are all medical causes of the problem. Additionally, environmental factors can affect male fertility. Exposure to heavy metals, X-rays, radiation, chemicals, and the overexposure to heat can cause male infertility.

Men’s lifestyle choices can also cause infertility. Drug and alcohol use, smoking, weight, stress, and even too much bicycling can cause males to suffer from fertility issues. Men who do suffer from infertility might not recognize any signs or symptoms right away. Aside from his partner’s inability to become pregnant, other signs of male infertility include ejaculation issues, pain or swelling in the testicles, low sperm count, and a sudden inability to grow hair on the face or body are all signs or causes of infertility in men. However, a sign such as low sperm count is not one that a man will notice without medical assistance, which is one of the main reasons why men often do not realize that they might be the reason behind a woman’s inability to get pregnant.

Female Infertility

Since the invention of IVF and other fertility treatments, women who suffer from infertility issues have more options than ever before when it comes to starting a family. Infertility on the part of a woman no longer has to mean that she cannot have a child of her own, even if she cannot carry that child. In order for you to become pregnant, you need to ovulate, have sex, and receive sperm to fertilize your eggs. Ovulation occurs when your body releases an egg into your fallopian tubes. When it is fertilized, it moves into your uterus and you become pregnant.

The causes of infertility can vary. Most commonly, women who are infertile suffer from ovulation disorders, damaged fallopian tubes, cervical blockage, and a number of other health issues that can lead to infertility. Women who are not fertile often do not realize they cannot conceive a child until they fail to become pregnant after trying repeatedly. Furthermore, some women who suffer from infertility have no medical explanation for their inability to conceive and will never know why they could not have a baby.

Much like male fertility issues, it’s not until a woman repeatedly fails to become pregnant that she begins to consider she might have issues with infertility. Since it is not something you can see or that you even feel, it might take a while to find out that infertility is something you have to live with. While some women may now they are infertile after struggles with cancer, a specific surgery, or another condition, most simply do not know until they see their doctor regarding the inability to conceive.

The only other sign that a woman might suffer from infertility is her menstrual cycle. The typical menstrual cycle lasts 28 days from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period. However, it is not uncommon for many women to have a shorter or longer cycle. This does not indicate female infertility, but women whose cycles are shorter than three weeks or longer than five weeks could suffer from infertility. This is a sign that you should consult with your doctor for further testing.

Treating infertility issues in both men and women is possible with the help of a medical professional. While not all infertility issues are curable or even treatable, many couples who face infertility are able to go on and conceive a child of their own after one of the many forms of fertility treatment available today. For those who cannot conceive even after fertility treatments, other options are available.
